Acceptable Use Policy
The content rules for AI-generated images on Nano Banana 2.1, how we enforce them, and how to report a problem.
Last updated October 8, 2026
In short: six kinds of content are never allowed: sexual/NSFW, graphic violence, hate, anything that endangers children, deepfakes or impersonation, and copyright or trademark infringement. Breaking these rules can get your content removed and your account closed. See something wrong? Email support@nanobanana21.cc with the subject "Report".
Scope
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to everything you upload to, write into, or generate with Nano Banana 2.1 at nanobanana21.cc (the "Service"), including photos, prompts, template choices and the AI-generated images that result ("Content"). It is part of our Terms of Service. If the two ever conflict, the stricter rule applies.
The rules cover what you try to create as well as what you actually get. Attempting to produce prohibited Content, for example by rewording a prompt to slip past a filter, is a violation even if the attempt is blocked.
Content standards and prohibited categories
You must not use the Service to create, upload, request or share any Content in the following six categories.
1. Sexual and NSFW content
- Nudity, sexual acts, sexually explicit or pornographic imagery, and fetish content.
- "Undressing" or "nudify" edits, or any edit that sexualises a photo of a real person.
- Suggestive edits of real people who have not agreed to them.
2. Violence and gore
- Graphic depictions of death, serious injury, mutilation, torture or blood and gore.
- Content that glorifies, promotes or incites violence, terrorism, mass shootings or self-harm.
- Realistic depictions of violence against real, identifiable people.
3. Hate speech and harassment
- Content that attacks, demeans or dehumanises people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sexual orientation, sex, gender identity, disability or serious disease.
- Hate symbols, extremist propaganda and imagery that celebrates hate groups.
- Content meant to bully, threaten, intimidate or humiliate a specific person.
4. Child safety (CSAM)
Zero tolerance. You must never upload or generate:
- Any sexual or sexualised depiction of a minor, whether real, fictional, drawn, AI-generated or "aged-up".
- Content that grooms, exploits or endangers children, or that places minors in suggestive poses, clothing or contexts.
Any such Content leads to immediate permanent account termination and is reported to the relevant authorities, such as the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), together with the associated account data, as required by law.
5. Deepfakes and impersonation
- Images that present a real person saying or doing something they did not say or do, in a way intended to deceive.
- Fake images of public figures, politicians or celebrities used for misinformation, fraud, endorsements or election manipulation.
- Editing someone else's photo without their permission to embarrass, defame or impersonate them.
- Fake identity documents, official IDs, licences, certificates or other forged records.
Only upload photos of yourself, or of people who have given you permission. Creative edits of your own photos, such as figurines or era makeovers, are fine.
6. Copyright and trademark infringement
- Uploading images you don't have the right to use.
- Producing Content that copies protected characters, artworks, logos or brands in order to pass them off, sell them or mislead people about their origin.
- Removing watermarks, signatures or other ownership marks from images that belong to someone else.
You are responsible for making sure your use of generated images respects the rights of others.
Other misuse
Also prohibited: illegal content of any kind, spam or malware, attempts to reverse-engineer, overload, scrape or bypass the safety systems of the Service, and reselling access to the Service without our written permission.
How content moderation works
We combine automated and human checks:
- Automated pre-generation filtering. Every prompt and uploaded image passes through the safety filters of our AI model provider before an image is produced. Requests that look like a prohibited category are blocked, and no image is created. The credits for a blocked request are refunded.
- Automated output filtering. Generated images are also checked by the provider's safety systems, and flagged results are withheld instead of being shown to you.
- Human review of reports. Our team reviews every report we receive, along with accounts that repeatedly trigger the filters, and decides on enforcement under this policy.
- Private by default. Uploads and results are stored privately in your account and are not published to a public gallery, which limits the spread of harmful Content.
Automated filters are not perfect. They may occasionally block a legitimate edit or miss a harmful one, which is why user reports and human review remain an essential part of the process.
Enforcement and consequences
Depending on how serious the violation is and whether it has happened before, we may take one or more of these actions:
| Level | Typical situation | Action |
|---|---|---|
| Warning | First minor or borderline violation | Content blocked or removed, warning sent to your account email |
| Temporary restriction | Repeated violations or repeated attempts to bypass filters | Editing disabled for a period, content removed |
| Permanent ban | Serious violation, or continued violations after a restriction | Account closed, all Content deleted, no refund of remaining credits or subscription fees |
| Legal referral | CSAM, credible threats or other illegal activity | Immediate permanent ban and report to law enforcement or NCMEC |
We may remove Content or act on an account without prior notice when needed to protect people or comply with the law. Accounts closed for serious violations may not be reopened under a new email address.
Appeals. If you believe we made a mistake, reply to the enforcement email or write to support@nanobanana21.cc with the subject "Appeal" within 30 days. A person who was not involved in the original decision will review it, and we aim to respond within 7 business days.
Reporting a problem
If you come across Content made with Nano Banana 2.1 that breaks this policy, or you think your own image or likeness was used without permission, please tell us:
- Email: support@nanobanana21.cc with the subject line "Report".
- Contact form: use our contact page and start your message with "Report".
To help us act quickly, include where you saw the Content (a link or screenshot), which category you think it falls under, and, for impersonation or copyright claims, how you are connected to the person or work. We acknowledge reports within 48 hours and prioritise anything involving child safety, which we handle as fast as possible. Reports are kept confidential and we never share the reporter's identity with the reported user.
Copyright notices. Rights holders can send infringement notices to the same address. Please include your contact details, a description of the protected work, the location of the infringing Content and a statement that you are authorised to act on behalf of the rights holder.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as laws, AI capabilities and abuse patterns change. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
